Aeroel introduce the new Quadraline Laser Measuring System, specially designed for the on line control of products having a square or rectangular shaped cross section. A dual axis laser gauge scans the product along two directions parallel to the sides of the section, so as to get the values of the width and of the height. Being very difficult, if not impossible, to guarantee a stable and perfect alignment between the product section and the laser beams, the gauge is mounted on a special oscillating fixture that makes it rotate a few degrees around the nominal alignment position; the Quadraline software running in the control unit gets the values of the minimum readings along X and Y directions, which exactly correspond to the dimensions to be measured. In addition to the on-line tolerance checking and whenever possible, the Quadraline System can automatically feed-back the manufacturing process, in order to keep the product within the pre set tolerance limits.
