THE THERMAL COEFFICIENTS OF ALL THE AEROEL LASER MICROMETERS ARE NOW SPECIFIED.

Using the thermal coefficients specified for each gauge model, it is now possible to evaluate the measuring error (related to 20°C) versus the ambient temperature, the part diameter and the thermal expansion coefficient of the part being measured.
The thermal coefficients of the Aeroel micrometers are all NEGATIVE and close to the typical steel value: that means that when an Aeroel laser micrometer is used to measure steel parts, you will get a minimum difference between the measurements carried on in a Metrology Room (controlled room temperature) and the on-line measurements, in workshops where the ambient temperature may change by a great amount.

As far as we know, Aeroel are the first laser gauge manufacturer that specify this performance
for all their models!!
When comparing an Aeroel gauge versus a competitive model, please check the Competitor about this point …

The new thermal coefficient values are specified in the performance table of each gauge model.
