WIRELINE
WIRELINE is a Laser Measuring System which has been specially designed to be used on-line in the Wire Industry, to monitor the finished diameter and the ovality of drawn wire.
Wireline.XY is a Laser Measuring System specially designed to monitor the diameter and ovality of steel and copper wires.
The system has been designed to work in the Wire Industry, to check the wire diameter during drawing, with high accuracy and reliability, as the measurement is unaffected by wire vibration and speed.
Thanks to a new and patented dust protective bracket, it is possible to install the gauge on dry drawing drawing benches, where soap and iron dust can strongly affect the measuring accuracy and blind the sensor in a very short period of time.
WIRELINE uses a dual axis laser gauge to measure the diameter and the ovality of any kind of wire during the drawing process, such as:
- steel wire for tyres
- copper wire for electric cables,
- CO2 welding wire.
- It provides reliable gauging of diameters from 0.04 to 32 mm: display resolution of 0.1 µm and accuracy better than 0.5 µm can be achieved.
- It checks the wire tolerance and stops the drawing machine when die wearing exceeds the pre-set limit.
- It counts the metres of wire being drawn
- Effective statistical reports are processed and printed for each spool.
- Several Systems can be linked together and connected to one Computer, to manage all process information.
